Brunei Darussalam, the small Islamic sultanate
situated on the northwestern coast of Borneo,
plans to set up its own offshore financial hub,
and the news has been well-received in Labuan, the
territory ceded by Brunei Darussalam to the
British in the 19th century, which is building up
its own offshore sector.
