These devices combine the Internet and telephone functions with TV and stereo boxes. Examples include WebTV receivers, TiVo digital video recorders, Internet radios, and MP3 jukeboxes for home stereo systems. These boxes can connect to the Internet via phone line, cable modem or DSL link. And unlike typical TVs and radios, they don't just receive programming. They can send back information about what content is on and when: the TV shows we watch and the music we listen to.
