What about taxation then, the darling of the two apologists for superior status for those administering governments? Well, taxation is at home in the system of feudalism: the king, by divine right, owns everything in such a system and the king's subjects are allowed to work in the realm the king owns, so these subjects have to pay a fee, called "taxes," for this privilege. Taxes are nothing but the rent the government, the owner of the realm, in a feudal system collects for granting the subjects the privilege of living and working.
